Female Promiscuity, what do you think?
female moan
I have heard that women are genetically inured to be more promiscuous than men are. Now, culturally, we place limits on what women can do, and this gives us the impression that men are more promiscuous, but this is not naturally the case.
Female chimpanzees are HIGHLY promiscuous; they have sex with many males, who have evolved huge testicles and sticky semen, along with very fast and plentiful sperm to compensate for this.
The idea is that by mating with many males, the female increases her chances of getting pregnant, and she makes it so that the males are less likely to attack her offspring, because there is a chance that one of them is the father of her child.
The same thing is said about why women and female chimps moan during sex; the loud sounds attract another male from a distance. Finally, we can see that women, like female chimps, have a much greater capacity for sexual pleasure than the males. The ability to have orgasm after orgasm means that a woman can have sex with many men, but it takes the man some time before he can ejaculate again.
This superior capacity for sex and pleasure might give females the advantage in certain situations; the ability to make the males not know who their child is will protect her offspring from them, and her ability to feel more pleasure from sex as well as have multiple orgasms will lead her to find more males to copulate with, thus filling her up with more semen, and forcing the males to compete even inside of her womb for dominance.
I’m not saying that women ought to be more promiscuous in a civilized society, only that the biology for promiscuity is there. What do you think? Does female promiscuity give the females more power?
I’m only mentioning it because chimps are our closest genetic relatives.
You are totally correct, slay!
I never meant to say that there was any DIRECT connection between orgasm and fertilization; only that orgasms encourage females to seek out more sexual activity.
Scratch that; it has come to my attention that female orgasms make it more likely for the sperm to go down into the woman’s cervix and into her vagina, increasing the odds of conception.
I believe this to be true. The social barriers against female promiscuity are only there because people at some time in the past saw the desirable aspects of men knowing which children are theirs (massively increased paternal investment in children leading to the establishment of civilization).
I’m always slightly scared about comparing animal behavior in nature to human behavior.
It wouldn’t make sense for anyone to be genetically engineered to be more promiscuous, since the children would have a higher chance of survival if they recieve more parental care. Though, looking at human life through the perspective of evolution is misleading. Human beings have much more to offer. We have a conscience. Animals don’t know why they do the things that they do. We are the only living things who are aware that we will die some day. We are able to make choices, while being able to evaluate the consequences. We are not "engineered" as a machine that functions with solely nuts and bolts. DNA is only one of the components of the human body. And, with humans, the whole is more than the sum of the parts.
Interesting theory. I don’t know whether we’re (as in humans, so both genders) biologically supposed to be promiscuous or not. There seems to be some evidence one way and some evidence another. I really don’t know.
You’re right about the huge testicles though. At the zoo not too long ago I saw the funniest chimps playing around, anyway one of them had absolutely massive balls, everybody commented on them. LO

I think we need a whole not more promiscuous women.
While I found this academic statement interesting. It is like comparing apples and oranges.
I’m very cautious about extrapolating from animal behaviour to our own.
People leap to the most amazing conclusions, often based on an extremely superficial understanding of the animal concerned. For example, it’s widely thought that soldier and worker bees and ants are males doing the bidding of a relentless queen. This bizarre misconception even appears in popular kids’ movies, which doesn’t do a lot to educate people.
But I digress! And indeed, the genetic similarities between us and chimps do seem to indicate a greater likelihood of useful parallels.
The most striking misconception (ha ha) in your question is the implication that there is a correlation between orgasm and fertilization. This has never been shown to be the case, in chimpanzees or humans.
Regarding reproductive control, the question is complicated. Species use various compensatory mechanisms to allow for conditions surrounding reproduction, but these are not generally thought to be subject to the conscious control of any species except homo sapiens.
Interesting concept, but too far removed from humanity at present. Chimps may be among our nearest cousins among other lifeforms, but that doesn’t make them us.
interesting lol
Actually the reverse is true. Men are the ones with the biological imperative to "spread their seed," in an effort to make sure that their DNA is passed down to the next generation. A woman, since her ability to have children is much more limited (I’m talking straight numbers here, since men could potentially have hundreds of kids) is more selective in who she sleeps with and it is her biological imperative to select a mate with the features she wants to pass on to her children.
I’m going to have to agree with Wica. I do understand your point.
I think all promiscuous behavior is wrong. Sex should be seen as an expression of deep love and commitment. I find male and female promiscuous behavior to be abhorrent and a result of either genetic defect/ genetic mutation or genetic material that has outlived it’s use fullness.
There are several genetic studies of promiscuous behavior in males though. Because feminist’s control society they won’t allow similar studies on female promiscuous behavior.
And given the 20-30% paternity fraud rate in western civilization I think genetics might play a role and if it is genetics those without the promiscuous gene have a right to know if there prospective partner has the gene or not.
exactly women and men are the same when it domes to sex but some have been repressed by messed up societal views and religion. I have been saying this all along the women and men are the same about sex where I am.
